Contain It! Opening Bash and VIP Reception
Let’s Paint and Exercise!
Los Angeles performance artist John Kilduff, host of Let’s Paint T.V.,
makes fun of multi-tasking with a high-energy performance. Kilduff
paints, runs on a treadmill, and sometimes blends drinks or plays a
game of chess - all at once - for your viewing pleasure. It’s the sort of
show Emeril Lagasse might do if he were a painter.

Plein Air Workshop with John Kilduff
Experience another side of John. Like many artists, Kilduff has many
talents, and is, among other things, an accomplished plein-air painter.
Sign up early for a spot in Kilduff’s plein-air workshop. He’ll take you
through the entire process of creating a successful plein-air painting.
Kilduff’s “devil-may-care” attitude is instrumental in helping students
conquer their fears of expressing themselves on canvas. As he likes to
say, “Making mistakes is part of the fun! Ole!”
Thinking Outside the Box (with artists who think Inside)
DFAC will offer a limited number of tours designed for corporations.
Take advantage of this fun, high energy exhibition to communicate
true ‘out of the box’ thinking. George Ann Bissett, Executive Director,
will lead your employees through the exhibition, all the while making
connections to the importance of creative thinking in the workplace.
Warning: After this session, your office’s cubicles may never be the
same! Finish the tour with lunch at the Palm Cafe (included).

- a multi-layered festival of installation art and performance.
Installation Art - What’s That?
Installation Art describes an artist’s modification of the way we experience a particular space. In Contain It!, 10
portable storage containers have been handed over to the most imaginative of local artists. These artists will create
magical environments within the containers. Step inside, and feel yourself transported into their imagination!
